I just wore this exact reference to dinner Friday night, I always forget just how awesome it is until I pull it out of the watch box. Perfect for a summer evening outside with friends and a great conversation starter. It seems more and more people have gained at least a cursory understanding of watches over the past 5 years or so and this watch is a great one to start a conversation with someone that has a basic knowledge of dive watches. You throw down a quick history of the watch and how it slots into the general history of well known dive watches and your almost always open someone’s eyes to the rich history of watches. If that doesn’t get them interested you can always pivot to the history of the Zodiac serial killer! 😂

Good article! I too miss mine. I grew up in the Southern California dive community. I worked on my brother in laws Charter boats out of San Pedro from 1966-1972. I bought a Sea Wolf and wore it proudly.

Great article and watch, reminds me of my Dad’s Tissot that some low life scum stole when they broke into the house in the 80’s. Never saw the watch again.

I own 2 of them and they hold special place in my collection, since the madness over subs and fatoms whent over the roof (i do own fatoms and well tudor :D) so for me thise wathes hold very special place in my collection. I have 1 from the 61 i think it is, and i bought one from the first re-release before covid. One of the moast undervalued wathes out there.
