Excited for Unpolished in 2026, particularly the print edition look back!
Early days, but at some point would be great to consider an international version founding membership package. You are globally renowned, after all!
And thank you sincerely for flagging my piece on the Léman series. It’s the first thing I’ve properly written about watches beyond Instagram captions so I’m very humbled you appreciated it.
what do you mean by international version of founding member package? i think it's the same offering, though perhaps i'm missing something on how it shows up for international readers?
I am potentially over indexing on the Watchcheck offering which isn’t an international service, and then adding international shipping and taxes to the other stuff.
Still a great deal, and I’m here for the incredible content mainly, but wondering if international pricing based on those factors might help grow the founding membership base.
I literally watchnerded out on your piece because as a Leman owner you know how stoked I was when finally I see more scholarship on it besides the blancpainblog!
The work shown on these new Daniel Roth pieces is sublime. The extra plat in particular was one of those pieces that made me legitimately want to pull out my credit card.
LVMH is truly being an amazing custodian to the brand, lovely pictures and thoughts as usual my friend. Wish DR and LFdT nothing but the best 🙌🏻
Yes, 2026 founding perks will be available until at least October 2026. If you’d like you can also upgrade now and I believe that will extend your subscription to 12 months from now: http://unpolishedwatches.com/account
Will there be a period where we can upgrade from the standard to the founding member subscription before it renews? The book & the strap are awesome upgrades. Thanks.
yes, i'll communicate more clearly about upgrade in the coming weeks. But I believe if you go to https://www.unpolishedwatches.com/account you should see an option to manage your subscription, and if you click there, you should have the option to upgrade to founding member.
Let me know if you don't see these though, substack isn't always intuitive 😅
That worked, although when I upgraded, it started from today rather than just upgrading me in January when my other subscription ended. But oh well, I lost 1 month, no big deal. Looking forward to 2026. ✌🏼
It’s been a long time since I’ve been excited enough about a strap to hold a watch up against my screen and try to picture how it looks. Getting my calipers out tonight to get those lugs widths!!
Great to see what you are offering subscribers, Tony! Happy to renew Founding Member status and enjoy the perks along with the great writing and insights (and some of the funniest one-liners in watch journalism)
Strap, magazine, and good journalism. That's an easy upgrade!

and of course, you should write more!!
Yes, I should explain myself!

I echo your thoughts - both on the international readers as well as the content!
helpful, thank you both!

Nothing better than a bit of watchnerdery! Glad you enjoyed it
This was a great read and well researched!
Thank you! 🙏

extra plat is one of my favorite releases of the year!
My membership is until July 2026. So is it possible to upgrade to Founding only then and get the 2026 Founding perks?

Thanks for the clarification. I see the upgrade option now as it’s only via the web version while it’s not visible on the substack app. :) 🙌🏻

lfdt are doing a tremendous job right now.
It’s a screaming deal to get a Nick Gabarro strap with a founding membership, I signed up immediately!!
we finally found the spring bar
After a long and deep contemplation, I went with a bold choice...an 18 mm brown strap

Just ordered one…looking forward to it!
