I have a “not quite” Daniel Roth era Breguet - a simple 5907 which I think started production right after he left. It still has a “DR” movement - it’s one of my favorite watches, wears very similar to the new 1815 from Lange, can be had for under 10000.
Did you take Zinc Chelate? Also, what is best place to find unusual/vintage/original watches in Chicago, I will be in Chicago for seminars this year, I practice in Minneapolis.
As always, a joy to see MrT in my inbox. For me, a self-taught watchmaker is a thing to behold. Far beyond my skillset - or indeed the commitment. Chapeau anyway...
Seattle heavy this week with Typsim and Tahoma Watches, loved it!

Thanks for sharing the guide to Roth Era Breguet- I've been looking for a detailed rundown exactly like this one for a while!
it’s really well done. i’m friendly with Tahoma and we’ll have him on the newsletter soon to chat more!
That ‘waffle dial’ datejust is just stunning.
Funny isn’t it, how a tiny splash of red text can make all the difference!
I found that I really LOVE Heuer Autavias with an orange chronograph hand- just that pop of colour on a black dial is great.
