I lost a limited edition book which I borrowed from the library before. I am sure it is even easier to misplace a service watch. ;p

Really cool Lange story! What a great idea in concept (loaner luxury watches borrowed during service) Thanks for sharing.

Like certain steel Pateks, the story and rarity may suffice to catapult past their precious metal counterparts in terms of collector desirability. However, my personal take is that the genre of watch belongs in precious metal. I know this is a personal quirk and many disagree. While I will dress up a ‘sports watch,’ I can’t bring myself to desire something in steel when I feel like it should be in gold.

When I have come to wanting a real ‘dress watch,’ I have always gone for the most traditional of metal, yellow gold. Typically the most common, but this is for good reason - it’s the best!

Tony, I can get the “What dealers can’t sell right now” link to work. It keeps taking me to a different article.

I only had 9 years to catholic school education and guilt, but have to agree that “losing” one of these would be a lie worth telling.
