It’s been a while since we did a Q&A (March, January). Ask a question in the comments and I’ll answer throughout the day:

I’ll save a few questions for discussion on a bonus Q&A podcast episode I’m recording with Nabil Amdan next week, so think of it as an opportunity to have questions answered there, too. Nabil’s a writer and collector who’s written for Unpolished about How Hand Finishing Became the New Complication; he also writes for Hairspring and his own site.

Things we can chat about:

  • Watch maintenance, service, and restoration questions

  • New releases, including the Berneron Annual Calendar, Vacheron Constantin, Ferdinand Berthoud, Furlan Marri, etc.

  • General collecting advice and questions—what, when, or where to buy (or not)

  • Watch media and my end-of-summer update

  • Also feel free to give feedback—what you’d like to see more or less of

  • Other recently-published articles, including: engraved enamel dials, the A. Lange & Söhne Conundrum, or American watchmaking. Subscribers can access the full archive online.

In case you missed it, Unpolished is publishing a monthly podcast or “audio issue.” Here’s this week’s episode with Ben Dunne, Watch Brothers London, and make sure to follow for future episodes: Spotify / Apple / RSS:
